Status Check On One-Year-Old Groceries E-com Site MyGrahak.com
It's been one year for online grocery retailing site MyGrahak.com and the site is already aiming big numbers in revenue by 2015 and claims to have hit a decent traction despite competition from Aaramshop and new players such as Zopnow.
Here's a look at some quick stats that the company has disclosed.
The site that was launched by offline retail chain firm REI Six Ten Retail Ltd, claims to have 8,500 registered families using the portal to buy from a range of 10,000 SKUs. The site is open for consumers in Delhi NCR, which also happens to be the base for REI Six Ten's offline stores.
The site is said to be clocking 5,000 transactions per month growing at over 30 per cent month on month with average bill size of Rs 1,100. Repeat purchases casino are pegged at 50 per cent having moved up from 30 per cent in the last two months.
The firm has set an ambitious target of clocking a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore by 2015. REI Six Ten's retail stores have clocked revenues of Rs 305 crore with net profit of a little over Rs 2 crore for the six months period ended September 30, 2011.
Along with, MyGrahak.com, there are other hybrid(offline-online) retail firms in this space, including Delhi based start-up Aaramshop.com, which is operating 40 neighborhood stores in Delhi. Down south, newly launched Bangalore-based Zopnow.com, which caters to South Bangalore and ChennaiOnlineGrocery.com, which only serves Chennai region are other players in this space.
