EdServ Partners Tata DoCoMo To Expand Tutor On Mobile
Chennai-based education support services company EdServ Softsystems Ltd has announced the expansion of its mobile learning services, the company disclosed in a statement to Bombay Stock Exchange today.
EdServ will now offer IIT-JEE and AIEEE test prep content on Tata DoCoMo's educational platform - Tutor on Mobile. Tutor on Mobile is available to all Tata DoCoMo subscribers pan India, the statement added.
The entire AIEEE and IIT-JEE package has been priced attractively with each video costing the AIEEE/IIT-JEE aspirant between Rs 5 and Rs 10.
At 1:12 PM, on Bombay Stock Exchange, shares of EdServ Softsystems traded at Rs 99.40, up 1.48 per cent from previous close. EdServ's educational content which was available online on its flagship product Lampsglow.com, will also be available in the form of videos, text, images, live interactions and pod casts on the mobile smart phone through this Tutor on Mobile offering, it further added.
"With increasing adoption of mobile smart phones in the country, we believe moving our educational content on the mobile will help students learn on the move, making it truly anytime anywhere learning," said S. Giridharan, chief executive officer and chairman. Students can subscribe to Tutor on Mobile by sending an SMS with keyword 'TOM' to 5333300. The service will be charged at Rs. 30 per month.
Earlier, the company tied up with EducationAndhra.com, a Hyderabad-based portal featuring educational resources and offers its online courses for IIT JEE, AIEEE, CA & IT training to the registered users of the portal.
The education service company has also tied up with Nokia to provide its educational content on Nokia smartphones – so that students can access its wide range of content through the HumThum apps.
