Fly To Launch 3 New Touchscreen Phones By Sept End

In an attempt to increase its presence in the touchscreen mobile phone segment, Fly mobile, an Indian handset manufacturer will launch three new touchscreen phones by the end of this month.

The company has also entered a partnership with N-Star (that makes chipsets based on ARM 9 and above) and will use its chips for Fly's future products.

"We are going to launch three touchscreen phones by the end of this month with 4.0 inch, 3.2 inch and 2.8 inch screen size. They will have advanced resistive touch technology that this will help us improve the user experience without increasing the price," said Mandeep Chaggar, group product manager, Fly Mobile, according to The Mobile Indian.

Although all three mobile phones will run on the Nucleus operating system, the highlight of the new launches will be the touchscreen mobile phone with a 4 inch display (the biggest offered by Fly so far). It will have an ARM 9 based chipset, a 2 mega pixel rear camera for clicking photographs and will be priced at Rs 3,990.

The 2.8 inch and 3.2 inch models of Fly will have the N-Star chipset and will be priced at Rs 1,990 and Rs 2,990 respectively. The exact launch date and detailed specifications of the mobile phones are not yet available, but once they are, we will be able to give you a better idea about the mobile phones.

Earlier touchscreen models available by the company include the E140 and the E146.
