Shemaroo Partners With MTNL For Video VAS Content

Entertainment content firm Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd has joined hands with government controlled telco MTNL to introduce 2G & 3G (Video IVR, WAP and IVR ) value added services for its subscribers in Delhi and Mumbai. In this partnership, Shemaroo will package the content on MTNL via its own 3G Video Delivery Platform.

MTNL users will now be able to stream their favorite Bollywood and Hollywood movies on 'Movie Talkies' service. This service is specifically designed for the young consumers to enjoy Mini Movies, which are 15 minutes version of a movie. MTNL Movie Talkies library includes content from movies like Ishqiya, Don and Namak Halal.

The tieup will also bring devotional content for MTNL users who can access Live Prayers from all major shrines of India like Shirdi Sai Dham, Kashi Vishwanath, Shani Shinegnapur, Ashtavinayak, Gurudwara PatnaSaheb, Haji Ali Dargaha and will also provide live darshan, devotional video songs, Mandir Darshan and Bhakti Videos through the service 'Divine Prayers'.

MTNL users who want to get this voice and video service, would just need to make a 3G Video call on the universal shortcode "58800", released by Shemaroo.

Shemaroo has also announced that it is launching its WAP site. Shemaroo provides videos in different languages like Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Rajasthani among others. The standard price of Video downloading is Rs15 on WAP and Divine Prayers and Mobile Talkies are available on Video IVR @ Rs 2/min.
