Sunil Grewal Takes Over From Rajan Sharma As Gigabyte's India Sales Head
Gigabyte Technology India, a manufacturer of motherboards and graphic cards, has appointed Sunil Grewal as Sales Head following the resignation of Rajan Sharma, General Manager, Marketing and Sales.
Grewal (Linkedin profile) was previously a regional manager and led sales for North and East India. Grewal's responsibility has now expanded to include sales across India, CyberMedia reports. He will work towards diversifying into new regions, and co-ordinate with the sales team, channel and system integrator (SI) partners. He will also be part of the company's strategic decisions committee and take care of branding.
Sharma's stint at Gigabyte lasted 13 years and he had reportedly said his aim was to be the CEO of Gigabyte Worldwide by 2015. CRN has more.
The company recently launched a premium graphics card targeted at pro-gamers - the GV-N590D5-3GD-B. The card features two NVIDIA GeForceTM GTX 500 series GPUs (graphics processer units) on a single board and GDDR5 memory.
