IE9 Records 2.35M Downloads
Internet Explorer 9 has been downloaded 2.35 million times in the first 24 hours since its Monday night release, according to PC Mag.
The new browser version is faster and slicker, with a minimalistic user interface. It also has deeper integration with Windows OS, allowing users to pin the site tabs to the task bar. Using sub-system enhancements like Chakra, the new JavaScript engine, IE9 offers improved performance.
It also offers an added level of control to the user through tracking protection, whcih allows users to learn which third-party websites could potentially use to track your browsing activity.
IE9 only runs on two operating systems - Windows 7 and Vista.
